Never stop delivering

The best way to keep yourself motivated is to never stop delivering. One small task at a time it's better than nothing.

Never stop delivering

The best way to keep yourself motivated is always to continue delivering. As a developer, spending a lot of time on a simple task is very frustrating. It doesn't matter if it is complex or challenging to work on; not finishing drains you off. Being stuck sucks.

We need to get focused, split that task into smaller pieces, and keep working. Each small piece at the end will accomplish the whole task, and you will feel closure and joy for each of them. Knowing that you're closer to the end saves your motivation.

Working on long tasks can be tedious, which is the perfect scenario for procrastination. You try to avoid any way to work on it because you feel it's a never-ending story. You lose interest in it. As a result, you get blocked on your own. I'd like you to know that daily standup exposes you. Every day that finish adds more stress to the deadline.

Please don't use the deadline as motivation; it is not. Working under pressure is not healthy. Many people feel proud to give better results this way. Believe me, it is nothing to be proud of. It is not sustainable in time; as a result, you get burned.

Don't harm yourself that way; keep delivering. One small task at a time is better than nothing.
